Mid-point of the project

What is this mid-point learning reflection, you might ask? (while also asking: where did the time go?! :) We don’t have the answer to the second question, but we do to the first one.

Midterm reflection is there to help you set one of the key milestones - months have past that you can draw the learning insights from and, yet, there are months ahead where you can still set new learning goals, challenge yourself, change your approaches, etc.

This part of your journey is packed with activities to help you do just that - stop, take stock and plan you way ahead.

Key reflection questions:

  • How do I see myself as a learner now? What and how am I learning?
  • How am I integrating feedback from others and what am I discovering?
  • How do I feel I am contributing so far? Where do I see my contribution? How can I contribute more?
  • How do I now understand my role and power as an active citizen?
  • If I was working directly with diverse community members, how has that challenged and expanded my worldview and assumptions?
  • How has my understanding of leadership and initiative-taking evolved through managing actual community projects?
  • What creative solutions or innovations am I most proud of developing, and how did I navigate the process from idea to implementation?
  • What setbacks or failures have taught me the most about resilience, adaptation, and entrepreneurial thinking?
  • How am I discovering my authentic leadership style through different activities?

You may answer these questions in your own way and follow the memories, examples, or insights that arise. If a topic feels important or you want to explore your growth more deeply, you can choose one of the suggested methods below.

Ask yourself “What do I need right now?” and choose a method if you want to explore deeper:

Purpose Method You will need:
To notice how I’ve changed Then and Now Mirror or or
To make sense of how others see my learning progress Feedback Mosaic or
To understand my core values in action Value Tree
To identify my growth through situations I faced Mid-term Self-pitch
