And just like that, here you are - near or at the very end of the project.
So many things have happened and even more learning lessons have been extracted. Now it is time to look back, once more, and take a stock of the journey that you have experienced.
We are aware that you are still in it and some insights might be a little bit blurred. But, do not worry, they will become clearer very soon. In the meantime, it is important to catch all the different reflections that come more intensively when we see the end of the journey and note them somewhere. And, if needed, you can still make sense of them in months (or even years! :) to come.
Some of the activities might be a bit longer, but then so was your solidarity project experience. Try to arm yourself with patience and invest in the reflection time - it will definitely pay off.
Oh, and one more thing! Embrace all the emotions that are coming your way, as they are the foundations to your learning. Tune in and try to understand what they are trying to tell you - they are there for you and so are we :)
Key reflection questions:
- How would I tell the story of my journey to someone who matters to me?
- What new understanding of my own resilience am I taking with me?
- How has my relationship with learning itself changed?
- How will I continue to look for growth opportunities?
- How has this experience changed my understanding of my responsibilities toward social justice and community building?
- What intercultural competences and perspectives am I committed to continuing to develop and practice?
- How do I plan to use my voice and influence differently based on this experience?
- How will I carry forward and build upon what I've learned here?
- How has this experience shaped my vision of positive change I want to create in the world?
- What new initiatives would I like to start based on this experience?
You may answer these questions in your own way and follow the memories, emotions or reflections that come up. If you want to explore your journey more deeply or organise your learning visually, you can choose one of the suggested reflection methods below.
