Now you are entering the longest period of your project - everything in between the start and the finish :) This might look very long now, but it will fly in a heartbeat. And you definitely do not want to miss important learning along the way!
This is why we designed 6 different reflection activities for you, which you can repeat in different intervals, in order to ensure consistent reflection and learning insights.
Some are to be repeated in the same format, while others allow you for different forms of expression or types of input.
And, finally, do not forget to come back to your competences assessment every so often. It works in a complementary way with all the activities here.
The key reflection questions:
- Where do I see evidence of growing self-confidence and initiative?
- How am I maintaining my commitment and enthusiasm for my engagement?
- What am I learning about myself as a team-member? What are my strengths and weaknesses?
- How am I systematically building the competences I planned to develop?
- What am I learning about civic engagement and community organising through this hands-on experience?
- How do I influence decision making so far and how would I like to influence it?
- How am I developing as a creative problem-solver?
- What innovative approaches or creative solutions have I proposed or implemented, and what was the impact?
- How am I building partnerships and rallying others around ideas and initiatives I care about?
- How is my leadership emerging through action?
You may answer these questions in your own way, noting them down in your preferred way. If you want to explore it more deeply, you can choose one of the reflection methods below:
Ask yourself “What do I need right now?” and choose a method if you want to explore deeper:

|
| To notice patterns in my civic engagement | Action-Reflection Learning Spirals | |
