Let’s face it - not everything goes smoothly when you're in a new culture, speaking a new language, or figuring out your role. And that’s totally normal. In fact, mistakes, awkward moments, and misunderstandings are often the best teachers - even if they don’t feel great at the time. This is an invitation to celebrating those moments, not hiding them. It’s your chance to look back, laugh a little, and notice what you’ve learned
Instructions:
-
Think of a situation from this week or month where something didn’t go as planned, felt awkward, or challenged you.
Give yourself an imaginary award: “Most Awkward Language Moment”, “Unexpected Chaos Coordinator”, “Failed but Tried Award”, “Procrastination PRO” -
On a card, paper, or in your journal, write:
-
What happened (keep it short or draw it!)
-
What made it difficult
-
What you learned, improved, or would do differently next time
-
Bonus twist:
Design a fun certificate, medal, or trophy illustration for yourself. Humor is welcome!
