You are back to the reality that you left before the start of your solidarity project. It should look exactly the same as you left it, but it probably isn’t. Even though you haven’t left your country, city or even your home, something has still shifted in you. Longterm, intense experiences can do that to you :)
Therefore, we don’t take this reintegration process lightly and neither should you.
We prepared a number of activities for you, which should help you understand your experience and your learning from a distance and also support you in charting your next steps.
Of course, we also have one last set of reflection questions for you:
- How am I applying the self-awareness and personal insights I gained to new challenges and opportunities in my life?
- How has my relationship with uncertainty, challenge, and stepping outside my comfort zone permanently changed?
- How will I ensure this experience becomes a foundation for lifelong civic engagement?
- How am I actively applying my intercultural skills and civic awareness in my current community and work contexts?
- How do I now understand my role as a citizen in my local and global communities?
- How will I use my experience to develop my own and leadership in others?
- How do I continue to identify and act on opportunities for creative problem-solving and positive impact?
You may answer these questions in your own way and follow your reflection notes. If you want to explore your learning more deeply, organise your experience, or connect it to your future pathways, you can choose one of the suggested methods below. This reflection will also support you in writing your self-assessment for the Youthpass, helping you articulate your learning in a clear and authentic way.
Ask yourself “What do I need right now?” and choose a method if you want to explore deeper:
| Purpose | Method | You will need: |
| To connect the past and future of my learning | Full Circle Letter Exchange | |
| To reflect on my learning and growth with a buddy | Buddy Reflection: Growth Check-Ins | |
| To link my competence growth with my civic role | My Civic Legacy | |
| To track my leadership and initiative-taking growth | Digital Reflection Blog |
