Mid-point of the project

What is this midterm learning reflection, you might ask? (while also asking: where did the time go?! :) We don’t have the answer to the second question, but we do to the first one.

Midterm reflection is there to help you set one of the key milestones - several days have passed that you can draw the learning insights from and, yet, there are still some days ahead where you can still set new learning questions, challenge yourself, change your approaches, etc.

This part of your journey is packed with activities to help you do just that - stop, take stock and plan your way ahead.

In addition, do not forget to check-in in one or more of our ongoing activities - now is the right time to revisit those initial goals and reflections:

  • 8 Key Competences Self-Reflection
  • My Learning Journey Map
  • My Learning Backpack
  • Mirror of My Learning Self

Key reflection questions:

  • What is the most important life skill I am learning here? How do I see it showing up in my daily activities?
  • How has working with others changed for me? What have I learned about being a good team member?
  • What feels easier for me now than at the beginning? Why do I think that is?
  • What has been my biggest challenge so far, and how did I deal with it?
  • How has my confidence in speaking and communicating grown? What helps me be understood, even when words are missing?
  • What am I learning about other cultures - and about my own culture - by being together in this group?
  • What learning about the topic feels most important or inspiring to me? How has working in an international group changed how I see it?

You may answer these questions in your own way and follow the memories, examples, or insights that arise. If a topic feels important or you want to explore your growth more deeply, you can choose one of the suggested methods below.

Ask yourself “What do I need right now?” and choose a method if you want to explore deeper:

Purpose Method You will need:
