The time has finally come - you have started your solidarity project! :) The start is a very exciting period that brings learning insights: a lot and very frequently! It is also a time to face diverse challenges and chart the path forward!
We know that time is precious and there is so much to do and experience, but allocating time for your learning is very important. The first insights are precious and you can only gather them at the start.
So, when you can, set some time apart and explore activities that we prepared for you :)
We did not forget about the key reflection questions for you:
- How am I feeling in my body and emotions as I begin this journey? What do these feelings tell me about myself?
- What assumptions about myself, others, and this experience do I have in these first days?
- What aspects of my identity (who I am) feel most important to keep, and which parts of me am I ready to change?
- How am I naturally positioning myself within the group? What does this reveal about me?
- What immediate questions about social issues and community dynamics am I most curious to explore?
- How am I handling uncertainty and the unknown?
- What am I already seeing about me as a leader?
- What resources, skills, and networks do I bring that could be valuable for addressing community needs?
